Our steel frame buildings are designed to help you improve animal welfare and productivity – here’s how:
- We use well-ventilating materials for our roofing, such as fibre cement. This keeps humidity low and is able to absorb up to 25% of its dry weight in moisture, reducing condensation drips caused by livestock.
- We work with your current site layout – such as existing buildings and thoroughfares – to ensure your new building is easy to access and maintain.
- We aim to prevent thermal gain or symptoms of heat stress by ensuring your building has the correct ridge for ventilation, removing any stale and warm air, and offer a wide variety of cladding option for airflow.
- We use fibre cement sheeting for the roof, as it has more than double the acoustic benefits of a metal roof. It absorbs impact sounds to reduce reverberation and excess noise, which can have a damaging effect on livestock and productivity outputs.
- We optimise the GRP rooflights, as agronomist’s have found dairy cattle produce more milk when exposed to daylight.
